Kanter to swim 89 laps on 89th Birthday for CART

How will you celebrate your 89th Birthday?

Rotarian-For-Life Jerry Kanter of the Kinston Evening Rotary Club decided he will swim 89 laps.

Jerry will do his birthday swim at his favorite pool at the Woodmen Community Center in Kinston, NC. Those who know Jerry, know his passion for swimming. He has competed in every North Carolina Senior Games since they started in 1985.

Kanter has dedicated this birthday swim to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. The Kinston Evening Rotary Club, Rotary District 7730 along with 18 other Rotary Districts support the work of The CART Fund, a project of the Rotary Clubs of North America. The CART Fund makes seed money Alzheimer’s research grants for the prevention and cure of Alzheimer’s Disease. One-hundred percent of every dollar donated to The CART Fund goes to Alzheimer’s research. The CART Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization.
