Exciting progress on an effort to diagnose Alzheimer’s Disease with retinal scans was announced at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Denmark in July 2014.
This safe, early, non-invasive diagnosis of Alzheimer’s using retinal scans is based on the research of 2012 CART grant recipient Dr. Maya Koronyo-Hamaoui of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
NeuroVision Imaging has helped translate Dr. Koronyo-Hamaoui’s unique retinal amyloid imaging approach and technology (using curcumin labeling) into the clinical settings for early Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
